It’s always exciting to discover that a celebrity shares your love for sim racing, especially when that celebrity competes at the highest levels of international motorsport!  Renault Formula 1 driver Nelson Piquet, Jr. gave lots of Gran Turismo 5 fans using a Playseat alcantara something to smile about when he recently posted the above picture to Twitter from what appears to be his apartment in Monaco.

Super Aguri F1's Anthony Davidson stopped off in London on Thursday to help launch the 'Formula One Championship Edition' game for the Playstation 3.

Davidson was joined by ITV F1's Martin Brundle and Radio 5 Live pit-lane reporter, Holly Samos, as Sony Computer Entertainment unveiled its latest F1 game expected to be available in UK shops towards the end of this month, when the PS3 hits the shelves.

Through Playseats’ sponsorship of the team, A1 Team GBR has donated an A1GP branded Playseat Evolution to Metro, the World’s largest free newspaper, and to Virgin Radio. Both sets are to be given away in exclusive competitions during the build-up to the A1GP finale at Brands Hatch on 4th May. The competitions will give respective readers and listeners the chance to win a Playseat signed by A1 Team GBR drivers Robbie Kerr (pictured) and Oliver Jarvis.

At the penultimate round of the A1GP Series in Shanghai on 13th April, Kerr claimed two ninth-place finishes in the Sprint and Feature races to close the championship gap with A1 Team France to 12 points. A1 Team GBR now heads to the season finale at Brands Hatch, UK on 4th May, where a 3rd consecutive top 3 finish in the final standings is the target.
